Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications developed by Mesut As (“I”, “me”, “my apps”), including but not limited to CatchMe and other iOS apps published under my developer account. I value your privacy and aim to be transparent about how data is collected and used.
By using my apps, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the apps.
1. Summary
- I do not require email, password, or social login in most apps.
- I do not sell your personal data.
- Some features are optional (profile photo, nickname, notifications, cloud backup).
- Some apps show ads and use analytics to improve the experience.
2. Information I Collect
Depending on which app you use and which features you enable, the following data may be collected:
2.1 Information you provide (optional)
- Nickname or display name — for profile and leaderboard features (e.g. CatchMe).
- Profile photo — if you choose to add one from your photo library. The image may be stored on your device and uploaded to secure cloud storage to restore your profile after reinstall.
- User-generated content — such as game settings and preferences you save in the app.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Anonymous user identifier — created via Firebase Authentication. No email or password is required.
- Device vendor identifier — used to link cloud backup to your device and restore progress or profile after reinstall.
- Game and app progress — scores, levels, achievements, settings, and similar gameplay data.
- Device information — device model, operating system version, and general device settings needed for app functionality.
- Usage and analytics data — app screens viewed, features used, session duration, and crash/diagnostic events to improve stability and user experience.
- Advertising data — in apps that show ads, Google AdMob may collect data needed to serve and measure ads (banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads).
2.3 Device permissions (only when needed)
- Photo Library — only when you choose to set a profile photo. The permission dialog explains that the photo may be stored locally and uploaded to cloud storage.
- Notifications — only if you enable reminders or similar optional alerts. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings or inside the app.
3. How I Use Information
- Provide core app and game functionality
- Save and restore your progress and optional profile (cloud backup)
- Display leaderboards and public rankings (nickname and score)
- Improve apps, fix bugs, and understand usage (analytics)
- Show advertisements in free apps (AdMob)
- Send optional reminder notifications if you opt in
4. Cloud Storage and Backup
Some apps (including CatchMe) automatically back up gameplay data and optional profile information (nickname, profile photo URL, settings) to Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage) when the app goes to the background or when you save profile changes.
A cached copy of your profile photo may also be stored on your device for faster loading. After reinstall, your data may be restored using your device identifier and anonymous account.
Guest mode: Where available, guest mode lets you play without cloud profile backup or leaderboard submission.
5. Third-Party Services
I use trusted third-party services that may process data on my behalf:
- Google Firebase — Authentication (anonymous), Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Analytics, and crash reporting.
- Google AdMob — advertising in apps that display ads.
- Apple App Store — app distribution and, if you rate the app, App Store processes that action.
- RevenueCat — only in apps that offer subscriptions or in-app purchases (not all apps use this).

6. Data Sharing
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data may be shared only:
- With the third-party service providers listed above, to operate the apps
- When required by law or valid legal process
- To protect my rights, users, or public safety
Leaderboard nicknames and scores may be visible to other users of the same app.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Data is retained while you use the app. If you delete the app, local data on your device is removed. Cloud data may remain until overwritten or until you request deletion.
To request deletion of cloud data associated with my apps, email me at mesutasdev@gmail.com with the app name and, if possible, your nickname or approximate account creation date.
8. Data Security
I take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries where I or my service providers (such as Google) operate, including the United States. By using my apps, you consent to such processing.
10. Your Choices
- Use guest mode where available, without cloud profile or leaderboard
- Skip nickname or profile photo setup
- Decline photo library or notification permissions
- Disable notifications in iOS Settings
- Delete the app to remove local data
- Contact me to request cloud data deletion
11. Children’s Privacy
My apps are not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact me and I will take steps to delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of my apps after changes means you accept the updated policy.
